Paul Wurth IHI Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “PWIHI|”) is pleased to announce that PWIHI has completed a new construction of Coke Oven Battery 1F at Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Kashima Works and the operation of this new battery started in August 2016. This is the first new coke oven battery project for PWIHI since its foundation, and the second PW-designed battery for Kashima Works following Coke Oven Battery 1E delivered by Paul Wurth Group in August 2011.

PWIHI actively introduces cutting-edge knowledge and technologies such as ones related to environment, energy saving and lower CO2 emissions, and proposes coke ovens together with conventional meticulous engineering power, thus contributing to the stable supply of products of our customers, steel manufacturing companies.
